Cytokine reagents
Highly-sensitive ELIspot assays are comparable to PCR analysis and are widely used to investigate immune responses to diseases, cancer and allergies as well as the development of new vaccines. The first ELIspot diagnostic test was developed to detect patients with tuberculosis infection by measuring the presence of T cells responding to Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigen by interferon gamma secretion.
Our cytokine-specific monoclonal antibodies are ideal for ELIspot assays used to detect secreted cytokines at single cell level. Cytokine-specific capture antibodies are available along with detection antibodies directly conjugated to an enzyme or biotinylated – they can even be custom conjugated to meet your specific requirements. Highly-specific monoclonal antibody pairs to cytokines can also be used in ELISA assays for the quantitative measurement of cytokines in serum or plasma. Polyclonal T cell activators, such as antibodies specific for CD3, can be used as positive controls for both cell viability and the functionality of the ELIspot assay.
