Specificity
AHP1330 detects CD294, also known as chemoattractant receptor homologous molecule expressed on Th2 cells (CRTH2). CD294 is a G protein-coupled receptor which has a high affinity for prostaglandin D2 (PGD2).
CD294 is predominantly expressed on Th2 cells, basophils and eosinophils, and its activation by PDG2 mediates chemotaxis of these cells to inflammatory sites. CD294 may be a useful marker for Th2 cells, and enhances their function and signalling with a possible role in Th2 cell differentiation.
PGD2 is thought to contribute to bronchoconstriction, eosinophilia and mucus production in allergic asthma, and CD294 may contribute to this disease.
Western Blotting
AHP1330 detects a band of approximately 60kDa in Jurkat cell lysates.

Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
