Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to human apolipoprotein A1 were raised by repeated immunisation of sheep with highly purified antigen. An immunoglobulin-rich fraction was prepared from whole serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by anion exchange chromatography.

Specificity
AHP213 recognises human apoliprotein A1 (Apo-A1), a lipid-binding protein which enables the transport of dietary lipids for storage, metabolism and secretion. Apo-A1 also plays an important role in the removal of cholesterol from cells.

Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.

This product should be stored undiluted.

Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
