Specificity
AHP878 is specific for human casein kinase II (CKII), alpha polypeptide.

CKII is a ubiquitous protein kinase which localises to the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. CKII is composed of three subunits (alpha, alpha prime and beta) which form a tetrameric holoenzyme. The alpha and alpha prime subunits are catalytic.

CKII is involved in the regulation of numerous pathways, including signal transduction, cell cycle and some metabolic pathways.

This antibody can be blocked by the control peptide BLP012.
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.

This product should be stored undiluted.

Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
