Spleen cellls from immunised BALB/c (Iffa Credo) mice were fused with the X63/Ag.8653 mouse myeloma cell line.
Specificity
MCA822 recognises soluble and membranous human IL-6R. This antibody has been shown to inhibit IL-6 mediated proliferation of XG-1 cells, and partially blocks binding of IL-6 to its receptor.

Removal of Sodium azide is recommended prior to use in functional assays. Serotec recommend the use of EQU003 for this purpose.
Flow Cytometry
Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul

Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.

This product should be stored undiluted.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
