Further dilutions should be made in a buffer containing carrier protein.

Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Serotec recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution.

Specificity
Interleukin 4 (IL-4) plays an important role in the immune response. This cytokine promotes Th2 cell development and is essential for the induction of B-cell isotype switching to IgE antibody production.

PEP004 has an ED50 in the range 20-50 ng/ml determined by measuring the effect of recombinant equine IL-4 on the proliferation of TF-1 cells.
