AbD Serotec has designed its Website to be easy and intuitive to use. However, we’ve provided some simple tips on how to search, filter, browse and purchase below to get the most out of your experience. Searching/Filtering Results

Search
The easiest way to find what you are looking for is to use the “Search” facility. You’ll see one on every Web page. Exact matches are ranked higher up on the returned results page than near matches.

Filter
Refine the search using our simple to use filters. You can sort by product type e.g. antibodies or antigens, target species, cross reactive species, clone, format, application, host, isotype and by whether the item is available for bulk order.

Compare
Select up to 3 items for a side by side comparison using our “Compare” feature.

View Images
You don’t even have to leave the search results page to look at our product images. Just click on the camera icon for a pop up window to appear and close it when you’re done. If you need further information about the product simply visit the online product page.

Browsing Microsites

Searching isn’t the only way to find what you are looking for – you can also browse the site. The various areas we support and our resources are listed at the top of each page. Simply hover over the tabs to see the most popular microsites and Web pages and select your preference. Alternatively, you can access these pages through the site map found at the footer of each page.

Adding a Product to your Cart

Quick Order
If you know the Product Code of the item you wish to purchase you can simply enter it into the Quick Order form found on the homepage (bottom left) and go straight to the checkout.

Choosing an Item
When you’ve found a product from the “Search” you wish to purchase, click the BUY button to add it to “My Cart” (found at the top right of the page). By default the quantity of an item is set to “1” but you can change the number in the box to order more.

“My Cart” will display the number of items in your basket and the total cost before any taxes, shipping or discounts are applied.

Checkout
When you have finished slecting products, click on the “Go to Checkout” button in “My Cart” to proceed to the payment step.

Choosing a Payment Option
There are 2 ways to order online: (a) by credit card or (b) by purchase order. Just click on one of the buttons to reveal a new window at the bottom of the page.

Paying by Credit Card

AbD Serotec’s secure online credit card payment facility is registered with VISA and MasterCard and is compliant with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS)

  1. Select the “Pay by Credit Card” button. This will open a new window below it. Upon agreeing to the “Terms and Conditions of Sales” click “Place Order”.
  2. You will be taken to the customer login page on our secure server. If you are purchasing for the first time you will need to complete the registration form.
  3. Upon successful login you can verify your shipping address information.
  4. Some customers (residents of NC and CA in the USA, and those in Europe) may be exempt from paying sales tax. If you are, just enter the details where prompted. You only need to do this once as your tax exemption information will be stored.
  5. If you have an AbD Serotec Account Number, please enter it when prompted. If you don’t know your Account Number it may be available from your purchasing department or you can contact your local AbD Serotec office to find out. You don’t need an Account Number to place an order.
  6. Should you have an AbD Serotec promotional code, you will be given the option to apply it before finalizing your order. Please note that most promotions cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts or offers.
  7. Enter your credit card details and submit your order.
  8. You will receive an email confirmation with a reference number and your order details. Please save it as a record of your purchase and quote the reference number in any correspondence.

Placing a Purchase Order 

  1. Select the “Pay by Purchase Order” button. This will open a form below it.
  2. Complete all the fields paying particular attention to mandatory fields marked with an asterisk (*).
  3. Sales Tax. If you are exempt from paying sales tax you need to provide us with your sales tax or VAT exemption/registration number otherwise you will be charged tax.
  4. Account Number. If you have an existing Account Number, please enter it into the relevant box to expedite order processing. If you’ve forgotten it, don’t worry, as we’ll be able to identify you from your contact information. If you don’t have an Account Number we’ll create you one when we confirm your order.
  5. Click “Place Order”.
  6. Your details will be forwarded to an AbD Serotec Customer Service Representative who will contact you to confirm the order and provide you with delivery dates, final pricing after discounts, and shipping charges.
