FSH

FSH or follicle stimulating hormones in women helps control the menstrual cycle by stimulating follicular development in the ovaries. Women’s FSH, follicle stimulating hormone, levels vary throughout the menstrual cycle and are highest just before ovulation. In men, follicle stimulating hormone or FSH is a regulator of testosterone levels and helps control the production of sperm. An abnormal level of follicle stimulating hormone or FSH is often a sign that the male or female sex organs are not working properly.

LH antibodies

LH levels, in women, vary dependant on the phase of the cycle and rapidly increase (surge) just prior to ovulation. This usually occurs midway through the cycle. High levels of LH are found in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome which is a common cause of infertility. In men, low levels can reduce testosterone production and that causes a progressive loss of germ cells, which, undiagnosed, can lead to permanent infertility.

Prolactin antibodies

Prolactin levels, specifically significantly elevated prolactin levels, are found in ten to forty percent of infertile males which can be a cause of decreased sperm production. Hyperprolactinemia in women can cause irregular ovulation.
