Viral ADENOVIRUS TYPE 11 Product Summary

Specificity

Adenovirus 11 belongs to Adenoviridae, a family of viruses with at least 51 serotypes that cause a variety of illnesses, mostly being upper respiratory tract infections.

Adenoviridae are dsDNA viruses and are the largest non-enveloped viruses.

Preparation

The antigen preparation is inactivated by heat treatment at 54oC for 2 hours. Inactivity is confirmed by growth on 293 cells for two weeks with no CPE seen.

Reconstitute with 1ml distilled water

Activity

This product has been rendered inactive by standard procedures. However this material should still be handled as infectious and should be disposed of appropriately.

Storage

Prior to reconstitution store at +4oC.
After reconstitution store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein.

18 months from date of reconstitution.
