Equine Animal Model Range - Horse Antibodies

Overview

To support research into the equine immune response, Bio-Rad provides cell surface markers for analyzing key lymphocyte subsets, as well as reagents specific for myeloid cells, platelets and adhesion molecules. Our equine cell surface markers are complemented by antibodies against horse immunoglobulins and several important cytokines. Many of our horse antibodies have been raised directly against horse targets, while others have been tested for use on horse immune cells.

Disease research on horses has potential relevance to other species. Equine diseases that can serve as translational models are asthma, metabolic conditions such as obesity and the associated insulin resistance, and injury models based around tendons.

Key Equine Cell Surface Markers

Important horse cell surface markers against T lymphocytes include: CD2 (MCA1278), CD4, CD5 (MCA1079GA), and CD8. Myeloid cells, such as granulocytes and monocytes, can be revealed with CD13, while CD44 (MCA1082GA) is a pan equine leukocyte marker. Bio-Rad also supplies antibodies recognizing horse MHC Class I (MCA1086GA) and Class II (MCA1085GA).

Horse Antibodies

As a leading provider of antibodies for veterinary research, Bio-Rad offers a wide selection of antibodies for studying immunological responses in horses. Our range of equine antibodies includes antibodies for measuring T cell, B cell and dendritic cell responses. We also offer antibodies to key immunoglobulins such as IgA, IgE and IgM. Available with a range of conjugates and tested for reactivity to equine markers, they are suitable for a range of applications including flow cytometry, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation and ELISA. Each is performance guaranteed for the applications listed on the product datasheet.
