Purified bovine IgA detected with mouse anti-bovine/ovine IgA (MCA628GA) followed by rabbit F(ab')2 anti-mouse IgG:HRP (STAR13B)
Sheep have 5 immunoglobulin isotypes made up of 5 heavy chain classes (IgM, IgG, IgA, IgD, and IgE). The IgG class is further subdivided into 3 subtypes (IgG1, IgG2, and IgG3); the IgA class into 2 subtypes. The heavy chains combine with 2 light chains (lambda and kappa) as in other species.
The ovine immunoglobulin antibodies are guaranteed for ELISA and cover the key sheep immunoglobulin classes: IgM, IgG, IgA, and IgE.
